Q. Will window tinting reduce the fading of my belongings, furnishings, and merchandise?

A. Yes. Fading is primarily caused by heat, UV rays, and visible light, all of which are mitigated by the right window film. While nothing can completely eliminate fading, we have films that can reduce fading by up to 85%, thereby far extending the life and appearance of your possessions, fabrics, and save you on high replacement costs.

Q. Will my energy costs decrease if I use window tinting?

A. Yes they will. Up to 50% in some cases. The amount of savings that you will experience depends upon the type of window film and the general characteristics of your home, office, or retail space. Factors such as climate, sun exposure, existing energy costs, and the efficiency of air conditioning and heating systems all contribute to how much you will actually save.

Q. Will window tinting films obstruct my view?

Q. Will window tinting change the appearance of my windows or cause excessive reflections?

A. Many of our films are virtually undetectable and most people will not be aware of any changes to your home, office, or retail space. In addition, some of our films are actually less reflective than ordinary window glass.

Q. Can window tinting offer privacy and prevent people from seeing inside my home or place of business?

A. Select solar films can provide daytime privacy, while decorative films can provide full daytime and night time privacy, and many of our window films are virtually undetectable, offering no additional privacy. It all depends on your needs and your preferences.

Q. How long will my window tinting last?

A. All the films we recommend carry an impressive near 0% failure rate and come with a lifetime residential warranty for both materials and labor. In addition, no deductible or pro-rating ever apply!

Q. How is window tinting film installed?

A. The first step in the installation process is actually one of the most important and consists of a professional evaluation of your individual needs. Then, for each of your windows, our professional installers will protect the area, thoroughly clean the interior surface of your windows, and apply the film using a mild solution of baby shampoo and water.

Q. How long does it take to install window tinting?

A. Depending on your purchase, our on-time professional technicians can install your films in a single day or less, with minimal disruption to your schedule or lifestyle.

Q. Is the film applied to the inside or the outside of the windows?

A. Window films are applied to the interior side of your windows, facing the room.

Q. How do I clean my windows once film is installed?

A. After 60 days from the date of installation, all of our window films can be washed with common window cleaning solutions (including ammonia-based products) using synthetic or natural sponges, squeegees, and/or soft clothes. Never use abrasive cleansers or bristle brushes that could scratch the films.

Q. Is the film safe on double-paned windows?

A. Yes, all of our window films are safe for use on double-paned windows.

Q. Can window tinting be applied to tinted Low-E glass?

A. Absolutely. Window films will actually enhance the energy performance of tinted Low-E glass windows.

Q. Can window tinting be applied to Plexiglass

A. No. Unfortunately window films are not compatible with Plexiglass.

Q. Can window tinting be installed on curved dome skylights?

A. No. Because window film is manufactured in flat sheets, it cannot conform to curved surfaces or plastic surfaces.

Q. Do you install films on vehicles?

A. No. Arctic Window Tinting only provides window films for residential and commercial applications.
